Why partner with Knowmads?
We have a wealth of experience and expertise across higher education and in Latin America, as we have been working in the industry for over a decade.
Our team of experts are native speakers who understand the cultural and market differences between Latin American countries and have all studied in the UK, some as recipients of the Chevening scholarship. Unlike the majority of agencies that stretch themselves across multiple markets, Knowmads is focused purely on building and developing the relationship between the UK and Latin America; we are specialised in Argentina, the South of Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Perú and Uruguay.
At Knowmads we are here to help your institution improve student intake from Latin America.
We offer expertise on university fairs, building local alliances, guiding students through the application process, offering our expertise on scholarships and visas.
Through our partners, we provide support through language courses, accommodation options and knowing how and what courses attract prospective students.
We know that the Latin American Market is extremely underrepresented in UK universities, as Latin students made up just 1.3% of non-UK students in 2015-16. Hence Latin America should be a fertile recruitment ground for UK universities, yet at the moment only 4% of Latin American students who study abroad are choosing the UK, the majority are choosing to study in the US, Spain, France, Germany or Brazil.
How are we different from agencies?
Unlike agencies who help students who have already decided that they want to study in the UK, by acting as a facilitator, not as a force for change to shift the Latin American market to have a greater focus on the UK. While at Knowmads we want to work with UK universities in changing the flow of the Latin American students, we want more Latin American students to realise the life-changing experience, and potential career opportunities that studying in the UK can offer them.
By partnering with UK universities, we can collaboratively tackle these problems, to help improve the image, understanding and perceived unaffordability of UK universities and improve your market share in Latin America.
UK universities should be seen for what they are, some of the top institutions around the world and we are here to help you show that in Latin America. To help improve your intake for the next academic year get in touch today!

At Knowmads we adhere to the seven principles of the London Statement, which were agreed upon on the 16th March 2012 by education officials from the UK, Australia, Ireland and New Zealand.
These principles are:
Practice responsible business ethics and accurate and honest information in an ethical manner.
We develop transparent business relationships with students and providers through the use of written agreements and protect the interests of minors.
We provide current and up-to-date information that enables international students to make informed choices when selecting which agent or consultant to employ.
We act professionally and work with destination countries and providers to raise ethical standards and best practice.
As well as abiding by the London Statement at Knowmads we also strive to be as open, transparent and professional as possible.
Therefore we make sure that at Knowmads all our staff are familiar with the UK education system and well versed in enrolling students in UK universities. Also, all our agents hold the appropriate business licenses and receive training in the regulatory conditions of the market they will operate in. Finally, all our offices have professional counselling facilities that are appropriate for hosting interview sessions, displaying materials and are conveniently located for students and their families.
